CUHK and the Guangzhou Laboratory Establish Joint Research Laboratory
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Guangzhou Laboratory have recently established a joint research laboratory specializing in infectious respiratory diseases, related regenerative medicine and immunology, and vaccine evaluation. Professor Rocky S Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK participated in the inauguration ceremony of the joint laboratory held at the Hetao Centre of the Guangzhou Lab with Professor Zhong Nanshan, Director of the Guangzhou Lab on 10 February 2023.
The new establishment is a key element under the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between CUHK and the Guangzhou Lab in September last year. Both parties will work more closely to advance research into respiratory diseases to safeguard human health and cultivate talents for the development of the Greater Bay Area.
