To establish a platform for collaboration and exchange among scientific elites from both Hong Kong and Mainland China, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) launched the “Academician Visit Programme” in 2008. Each year, the programme invites four to six academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering to visit CUHK and share their insights with faculty members and students. This initiative aims to strengthen academic exchange between CUHK and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, foster close connections in various research fields, and enhance CUHK’s academic and research standards. Through discussions on the current state and development trends of relevant scientific disciplines, CUHK hopes to promote engineering science and technology research in both regions and contribute to the advancement of the nation.
